Offering gentle – yet extraordinary – exfoliation with lactic acid (an alpha hydroxy acid) this lightweight serum stimulates cell regeneration to reduce pigmentation, diminish acne scars and age spots and improve overall skin texture. Don’t be perturbed by the irritation often associated with acid use – The Ordinary’s Lactic Acid 5% + HA 2% contains purified Tasmanian pepperberry to reduce signs of inflammation and soothe the sensitivity sometimes caused by exfoliation. Also enhanced with heroic hydrating ingredient hyaluronic acid, this super-charged serum strengthens the lipid barrier to improve the skin’s ability to attract and retain moisture.
Apply once per day, ideally in the evening. Can be diluted with other treatments to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician. (Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.)
Contraindications: Lactic Acid should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to additional sun protection note and other warnings in provided Direction
